Geromic George, IAS, the DC of Thiruvananthapuram, had a toenail infection. He called the District Medical Officer and asked for treatment at his residence. An assistant surgeon from the General Hospital left his 200+ OPD and went to attend to the DC's 'emergency,' where he had to wait for half an hour before he could attend to the honorable DC, as the latter was busy.
