The forests of Vindhyachal and Satpura in Central India are full of rock shelters and prehistoric paintings dating back about 10,000 years. The forests of Sehore and Raisen districts in the central Indian State of Madhya Pradesh, are rich in such rock shelters and prehistoric rock paintings.  These are prehistoric rock paintings located in Khodra, a village of Gond tribe, 1 km away from Bhopal in Goharganj tehsil of Raisen district.  Neither any forest official nor any archaeologist has ever visited this site. The villagers have tried to worship here by applying vermillion and tilak.  After developing language in its primitive form, the prehistoric man must have learned the art of painting on these rocks.
