In the contemporary world, the essence of festivals, such as Dussehra or Vijayadashami, is gradually transforming from profound spiritual celebrations into mere rituals. The lamentable truth is that many individuals partake in these festivities without truly internalizing the underlying message of victory over evil and its relevance in society. As this shift occurs, our tightly woven societal fabric begins to unravel, losing both its shape and significance, and the warmth of camaraderie fades, replaced by a relentless pursuit of strategic connections.

Dussehra, a festival celebrated with grandeur and fervor, signifies the triumph of good over evil, symbolized by Lord Rama's victory over the demon king Ravana. It is a time for reflection on the eternal struggle between righteousness and malevolence, as well as an opportunity to rekindle the values of righteousness, integrity, and the power of truth in our lives.

However, in the fast-paced modern world, the spiritual aspects of Dussehra often take a back seat to the materialistic desires and social obligations. The festival has become more about showcasing opulence, extravagant gatherings, and demonstrating one's social influence. People rush to collect "contacts" and build relationships based on personal gain rather than genuine connections founded on shared values and principles. These relationships often crumble as soon as their utility wanes, leaving individuals in a perpetual cycle of superficial connections.

Yet, amid this changing landscape, there are those fortunate and at peace who remain deeply conscious of the Parabrahm, the ultimate reality, and the profound purpose of life. They understand that the journey of life is an eternal one, devoid of a distinct beginning or end. For them, Dussehra is a reminder that the victory of good over evil should not be confined to mythological narratives but should be an ongoing battle in their own lives.

These individuals celebrate Dussehra not as a mere ritual but as a profound opportunity for personal transformation and societal upliftment. They strive to embody the values of righteousness, compassion, and kindness, serving as beacons of inspiration for those around them. Their celebrations are not ostentatious but carry a genuine spirit of unity, shared joy, and spiritual growth.
